Our research focuses on structure and function of proteins in particular protein folding and stability, catalysis of disulfide bond formation during protein folding, assembly of supramolecular structures using adhesive pili from pathogenic bacteria as model system and protein/protein interactions.
We utilize a multidiscyplinary approach involving Light Spectroscopy like Circular Dichroism, Fluorescence Spectroscopy, Stopped-Flow Kinetics, structure determination with X-Ray crystallography and NMR Spectroscopy.
